Brewers - Cardinals

Game 1 Sun-Oct 9-4 PM

Ryan Braun launched a two-run, 463-foot homer in the first inning and added a two-run double during a six-run burst in the fifth. Prince Fielder hit a two-run homer and the typically light-hitting Yuniesky Betancourt added a two-run homer to cap the big comeback.to beat Cardinals 9-6.

Game 2 Mon-Oct 10- 8 PM

Albert Pujols had one of the biggest postseason nights of his career in Game 2 of the NL championship series, going 4 for 5 with a home run, three doubles and five RBIs to lead Cardinals past Brewers 12-3 on Monday.

Game 3 Wed-Oct 12- 8 PM

Albert Pujols hit an RBI double off Yovani Gallardo during a four-run first inning and four  Cardinals relievers combined for four perfect innings on Wednesday night for a 4-3 victory over Brewers and a 2-1 edge in the NL championship series.

Game 4 Thur-Oct 13- 8 PM

Randy Wolf flummoxed the Cardinals with pitches that were slow, slower and slowest, leading Brewers to a 4-2 victory that tied the NL championship series 2-all.

Game 5 Fri-Oct 14-8 PM

Brewers made four errors that led to three unearned runs, as Cardinals survived a short start by Jaime Garcia to beat Milwaukee 7-1 on Friday night to take a 3-2 lead in the NL championship series.

Game 6 Sun-Oct 16-8 PM

David Freese hit a three-run homer in the first and manager Tony La Russa turned again to his brilliant bullpen for seven sturdy innings as Cardinals captured its 18th pennant with a 12-6 victory over Brewers on Sunday night.

 

Tigers-Rangers

Game 1 Sat-Oct 8-8 PM

Before the game was interrupted twice by rain for a total of 1 hour, 50 minutes in the top of the fifth inning, Nelson Cruz broke a postseason slump with a home run and Rangers scored all of their runs off Justin Verlander. His final pitch came long before the last out was made at 12:03 a.m. CDT.as Rangers won 3-2 over Tigers in Game 1 of the ALCS.

Game 2 Mon-Oct 10- 4 PM

Ryan Perry served up a game-ending grand slam to Nelson Cruz in the 11th inning, giving Rangers a 7-3 victory Monday and sending Tigers home trailing 0-2 in the best-of-seven ALCS.

Game 3 Tue-Oct 11- 8 PM

Doug Fister delivered another strong start in a game Detroit needed and Miguel Cabrera homered and hit a tiebreaking double to lead Tigers past Rangers 5-2 on Tuesday night in Game 3.

Game 4 Wed-Oct 12 4 PM

Nelson Cruz made a rocket throw to keep the score tied, then hit a crushing three-run homer in the 11th inning off Jose Valverde that helped send Rangers over Tigers 7-3 on Wednesday night for a 3-1 lead in the AL championship series. Mike Napoli had put Texas ahead with an RBI single earlier in the 11th.

Game 5 Thur-Oct 13- 8 PM

Delmon Young hit two of Detroit's four homers and Miguel Cabrera had a tiebreaking double in the sixth inning -- thanks to a bizarre bounce off third base and Jason Verlander helped save Detroit's season with a gutsy effort and the Tigers hit for a sudden cycle to break away in a 7-5 victory Thursday that cut the Rangers' lead to 3-2 in the AL championship series.

Game 6 Sat-Oct 15-4 PM Nelson Cruz set a postseason record with his sixth home run of the series, Michael Young hit a pair of two-run doubles in a nine-run third inning, as Rangers romped to a 15-5 win over Tigers on Saturday night that won the AL pennant in six games.
